State investigators are renewing their call for public assistance as this July marked 30 years since the unsolved murder of Bryan Edward Haltom.
Haltom, 18, was shot and killed in the early morning hours of July 17, 1996, along U.S. 231, just north of Spencer. The cold case remains open, with investigators and Haltom’s family continuing their search for answers and justice three decades later.
The Indiana State Police (ISP) Bloomington District is asking anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the person or persons responsible to step forward.
Tips can be directed to Detective Kent Rohlfing at the ISP Bloomington Post. Information can be provided anonymously.
