Seven Oaks approved for full IHSAA Membership

Seven Oaks Classical School has officially been approved for full membership in the Indiana High School Athletic Association beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, marking a major milestone in the growth and development of the school’s athletics program.

On Tuesday, May 5, Athletic Director Tommy Weakley presented before the IHSAA Executive Board as part of the school’s final membership review process. Following the presentation, Seven Oaks received approval for full IHSAA membership status.

This milestone marks the successful completion of the school’s three-year provisional membership period, which began during the 2023–2024 school year.

For the first time in school history, Seven Oaks student-athletes will be eligible to compete in IHSAA state tournament competition in boys soccer, girls volleyball, boys and girls cross country, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls wrestling and boys and girls track and field.

“This is an exciting step forward for Seven Oaks athletics and a special opportunity for our student-athletes to represent our school at the state level,” the school shared in a statement.

School leadership expressed profound gratitude to the many individuals who helped make this achievement possible, beginning with the student-athletes whose spirit, resilience and sportsmanship helped bring the program to this point. Appreciation was also extended to the coaches, families, faculty and staff whose continued support has helped clubs gradually transform into competitive athletics programs.

Special thanks were given to Tommy Weakley, Jacob Box and Elaine Bollhorst for shepherding the athletics program and strengthening the school’s relationship with the IHSAA.
