2026 Owen County 4-H Fair Events

Owen County Fair Week begins next week with a host of events at the fairgrounds at 364 S. East St., Spencer. 

The fair’s Carnival - Arm Band Night - $30 Unlimited starts 6 p.m. to close Monday and returns each night until Saturday. The Kiddie Tractor Pull beside Exhibit Hall is for kids 85 pounds and under and follows the same schedule.

The fair’s theme is “America 250,” and over the past two weeks, a slew of pre-fair events have taken place at the fairgrounds, including the Dog Show, Baby Contest, Creative Expo and Exhibit Open Hall Judging for a wide range of 4-H projects. 

Here’s the rest of the fair schedule:

July 4

• 7 to 11 a.m. - Livestock Check-In at the Livestock Barns, includes cattle, goat, poultry, rabbits, sheep and swine 
• 11:30 a.m. - Exhibitor Meeting for all livestock exhibitors at the Show Arena
• 1 to 5 p.m. - Horse and Pony Enter at the Horse Barn
• 5 to 7 p.m. - Exhibit Hall Open Judging at the Exhibit Hall, includes baked foods, garden, mini foods and preserved foods

July 5

• 1 p.m. - Market Beef Show at the Show Arena
• 5 to 6:30 p.m. - Community Vesper Service at the Show Arena
• 7 p.m. - Perishables Auction at the Show Arena
• 7:30 p.m. - Queen Contest, Princess Contest and Little Mister and Little Miss Contests at the Show Arena, $5 per seat

July 6

• 9 a.m. - 4-H Rabbit Show at the Rabbit Barn 
• 9 a.m. - Mini 4-H Rabbit Showmanship/Vintage Showmanship at the Rabbit Barn 
• 2 to 9 p.m. - Exhibit Hall Grand Opening 
• 2 p.m. - Exhibit Hall Open Class Building opens 
• 3 p.m. - Sheep Show at the Show Arena 
• 3:30 p.m. - Mini 4-H Sheep Showmanship/Vintage Showmanship at the Show Arena 
• 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. - Book 2 Barn Event at the Show Arena 
• 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. - Spirit Night and Senior Recognition at the Show Arena 
• 6 p.m. to close - Carnival - Arm Band Night - $30 Unlimited

• 3 p.m. - Meat Goat Show at the Show Arena 
• 5 to 7 p.m. - Optional Poultry Meat Pen Check-In at the Poultry Barn

• 7 p.m. - Demo Derby at the Main Arena, tickets are $10 and $5 for children 3 and under

All State Fair Static Projects are due to the Extension Office at 4 p.m. July 29.
